SUMMARY:2023 Cupid Courts Misericordia
DESCRIPTION:Hinsdale Paddle will be one of the clubs hosting the 13th Annual Ladies and 3rd Annual Men’s Cupid Courts Misericorida Paddle Events on Friday\, February 10. The women’s all-level paddle mixer with start at 9 am followed by lunch at noon at Salt Creek Club. The men’s non-competitive paddle tournament will start at 6 pm. \nBoth events will be held at various western suburb paddle clubs. Player club assignment will be based on level of play. All players will receive an e-mail the day before the event with club assignment. \nThe cost is $125 per player which includes several rounds of paddle\, food\, drinks and a Cupid Courts favor\, plus an opportunity to donate to a wonderful place! Raffle tickets are also available. \nThis event was started 12 years ago by a group of women who wanted to combine their love of paddle tennis and the desire to help a needy cause. Thus the origin of Cupid Courts\, a fun day of paddle tennis benefitting Misericordia Home. It has evolved from one club to all eight local paddle Clubs. The morning event was sold out in 2022 and was attended by approximately 170 women\, raising more than $75\,000. \nIn 2021\, the men joined in on the fun later the same evening\, at LGCC\, and we hope to have even more included this year.  The men’s event of 32 LGCC members raised close to $10\,000 both of the past 2 years. This year’s Men’s event will be hosted at 3 area clubs. \nMisericordia currently supports 600 children and adults with developmental disabilities from diverse racial\, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. DESCRIPTION:Hinsdale and the SW suburbs’ top mixed teams will compete for annual bragging rights in the mixed doubles platform tennis tournament Saturday\, April 23rd\, from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. \nThe tournament features two draws. A Draw is for advanced players with a combined series of 5 or more. B Draw is for intermediate players with a combined series of 15 or more. \nThis is a fun annual get-together and is one of the rare events that brings our Men’s and Women’s paddle community together to share our mutual love for the game. Dinner/Drinks/Balls/Prizes will be provided. \nEach draw will be limited to 16 teams. All participants must play out of one of these SW suburban clubs: HPC\, Salt Creek\, Hinsdale GC.\, Ruth Lake CC\, Butterfield CC\, Chicago Highlands CC\, LaGrange CC\, and Edgewood Valley CC. Each team will play a minimum of 2 matches. Teams that make it to the finals of the main and back draws will play 4 matches. \nPlease note: Final draw assignments will be made based on your playing level relative to the rest of the entrants. SUMMARY:Hinsdale Southwest Suburban Mixed Doubles Tango
DESCRIPTION:Hinsdale and the SW suburbs’ top mixed teams will compete for annual bragging rights in the mixed platform tennis tournament Saturday\, May 1\, 2021 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. The tournament will feature two draws. The A Draw will include teams with a combined series of 5 or more and will play at KLM. The B Draw will feature intermediate players with a combined series of 15 or more and will play out of Salt Creek. \nEach draw will be limited to 16 teams. All participants must play out of one of these SW suburban clubs: HPD\, Salt Creek\, Hinsdale G.C.\, Ruth Lake CC\, Butterfield CC\, Chicago Highlands CC\, and Edgewood Valley CC. Each team will play a minimum of 2 matches. Teams that make it to the finals of the main and back draws will play 4 matches. \nThe cost is $80/team. Dinner\, drinks\, balls\, and prizes will be provided. All entries must be received by Tuesday\, April 27. \nIMPORTANT: If you don’t have a partner\, or are completely annoyed with your spouse’s court positioning and overabundance of forehands\, but remain interested in playing\, please email Kevin Lannert (see below) with your series info and we’ll make an effort to get you a partner. \n

DESCRIPTION:The event will be held Saturday\, March 14 at various Chicago area clubs in the northern suburbs. Sunset Ridge CC is the host club. Cost is $200 per team. Entry deadline is Monday\, March 9. Limit 32 teams in each of the four draws. All participants are invited to join the festivities at Sunset Ridge after finishing their last match and watch the main draw championships.  Dinner and drinks will be served at SRCC’s paddle hut during the championships and later into the evening.
