SUMMARY:USO Paddle Day
DESCRIPTION:The 17th annual USO Paddle Day will be held Saturday\, February 4 at Westmoreland and Sunset Ridge.  The event was created to support the courageous men and women of our military by providing financial assistance to USO Illinois. USO Illinois provides vital services in support of our troops\, including Naval Station Great Lakes to our north. Please click below for a brief USO video with historical footage. \nReserve Court Time – we ask for a minimum donation of $100 per player for each hour of court time ($150 for 1.5 hours).  Courts are open all day until 10:00 pm.  Please contact Tom Maentz at tmaentz55@gmail.com to book your court time.  The Westmoreland Paddle House will be open for food and beverage. \nMake a Donation – online donations can be made at our USO Paddle Day webpage: https://one.bidpal.net/paddle2023/welcome \nUSO Illinois is a 501c(3) non-profit organization.  A tax letter will be sent for your records. \nBuy Raffle Tickets – our popular raffle is back with a wonderful assortment of valued items\, including a framed authenticated Jonathan Toews Jersey\, Blackhawks tickets (4 seats\, March 6th)\, Cubs tickets (4 seats\, date TBD)\, several wine and spirits packages\, and more!  Winners will be drawn at the conclusion of the event.  Need not be present to win.  To purchase raffle tickets and view raffle prizes\, please go to the USO Paddle Day webpage: \nhttps://one.bidpal.net/paddle2023/welcome

SUMMARY:2023 Cupid Courts Misericordia
DESCRIPTION:Hinsdale Paddle will be one of the clubs hosting the 13th Annual Ladies and 3rd Annual Men’s Cupid Courts Misericorida Paddle Events on Friday\, February 10. The women’s all-level paddle mixer with start at 9 am followed by lunch at noon at Salt Creek Club. The men’s non-competitive paddle tournament will start at 6 pm. \nBoth events will be held at various western suburb paddle clubs. Player club assignment will be based on level of play. All players will receive an e-mail the day before the event with club assignment. \nThe cost is $125 per player which includes several rounds of paddle\, food\, drinks and a Cupid Courts favor\, plus an opportunity to donate to a wonderful place! Raffle tickets are also available. \nThis event was started 12 years ago by a group of women who wanted to combine their love of paddle tennis and the desire to help a needy cause. Thus the origin of Cupid Courts\, a fun day of paddle tennis benefitting Misericordia Home. It has evolved from one club to all eight local paddle Clubs. The morning event was sold out in 2022 and was attended by approximately 170 women\, raising more than $75\,000. \nIn 2021\, the men joined in on the fun later the same evening\, at LGCC\, and we hope to have even more included this year.  The men’s event of 32 LGCC members raised close to $10\,000 both of the past 2 years. This year’s Men’s event will be hosted at 3 area clubs. \nMisericordia currently supports 600 children and adults with developmental disabilities from diverse racial\, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. SUMMARY:2nd Annual Mardi Gras Mixer
DESCRIPTION:Grab your paddle\, krewe\, and beads for some Big Easy fun at the 2nd Annual Mardi Gras Mixer\, Saturday\, February 25 at the Bill O’Brien Platform Tennis Center. \nEnjoy a fabulous buffet of cajun specialties such as jambalaya\, étouffée\, beignets and more\, along with beer and wine.  Plenty of paddle will be played and balls are included in the registration fee. The Mardi Gras Mixer is $45 per person. Members are welcome to register a non-member guest. Registration will be limited to 48 people\, so register as soon as possible if you wish to attend.
